About The Position

Shearer’s Foods is hiring a Shuttle Driver to move trailers between storage locations and its manufacturing facility, handle products, verify truck loads, and provide professional customer service. The role involves unloading products using equipment or by hand and working in inclement weather with frequent stops. The schedule is a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on a continental shift, at a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence, with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Experience driving and operating forklifts and hand lifts.
• At least six months of commercial driving experience, or three months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
• Proven safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to operate a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Unload products carefully from trailers using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, forklift, or by hand, and place them in designated storage areas.
• Use jockey trucks to move trailers between storage locations and the manufacturing facility.
• Verify truck-load accuracy and obtain the proper signatures.
• Perform customer service responsibilities professionally to enhance the client experience.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift.
• Drive and work in inclement weather conditions and make frequent stops, 10 or more per shift.
