CDL Residential Driver, Sign-on Bonus up to $5,000.00
About The Position
The Driver - Residential Trash supports waste management and recycling operations through safe, reliable collection service and a commitment to service quality and operational excellence. The driver operates a rear-load garbage truck on assigned routes, collecting solid waste in residential neighborhoods, construction sites, and other assigned areas. The role involves route navigation, use of hydraulic hand controls, and basic truck inspections. It is a full-time, year-round position, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed. Drivers are typically home every evening.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
- Have a current, valid DOT medical certificate.
- Be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to climb in and out of the truck throughout the shift.
- Be able to perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and its components.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a rear-load garbage truck on assigned routes and collect solid waste.
- Lift and carry materials and climb in and out of the truck throughout the shift.
- Read route sheets and service customers as assigned by the dispatcher.
- Operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery to collect and dump waste.
- Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck components.
