Requirements

Must have a Class A or B CDL with a current, valid DOT medical certificate.
Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs to shoulder height and climb in and out of the truck throughout the shift.
Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the truck and its components.

Responsibilities

Drive a rear load garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste in residential neighborhoods, construction sites, and other assigned areas.
Lift and climb in and out of the truck, and lift objects up to 70 lbs.
Read route sheets and service each customer on the route as assigned by the dispatcher.
Operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery to collect and dump waste.
Conduct basic inspections of truck components to ensure the vehicle is safe and ready for the route.
