CDL Hazmat Truck Driver (Night shift) - Garden City, TX
About The Position
Certarus is a North American provider of low-carbon energy solutions, delivering compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable natural gas (RNG), and hydrogen to remote communities and industrial customers that are not connected to a pipeline. The CDL Hazmat Truck Driver safely transports CNG from Certarus hubs to customer locations and reports directly to the Operations Supervisor. The position is based in the Garden City, Texas area and uses company-provided, well-maintained tractor-trailers. The role follows a set night-shift rotation of five shifts on and three days off. Driving is local, and drivers are home at the end of each shift. A night-shift premium is provided. Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat (H) and Tank (N), or X endorsement.
- At least two years of verifiable Class A trucking experience; military experience may apply.
- Safety-minded, self-starter, and team player.
- Clean motor vehicle records (MVR and PSP) with no suspensions.
- Able to pass a thorough criminal background check, Fit-for-Duty assessment, and drug and alcohol screen.
- Able to communicate in English.
Nice To Haves
- Prior oilfield hauling experience is preferred.
- Two years of experience transporting hazardous materials is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport compressed natural gas from hub compression stations to customer sites.
- Safely operate a tractor and trailer to and from off-road customer locations.
- Remove and transport empty CNG trailers from customer sites to hub locations.
- Hook up and decouple hoses to and from compression stations and pressure reduction systems.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks of operating vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
