About The Position

Certarus is hiring a CDL Hazmat Truck Driver to safely transport compressed natural gas (CNG) from its hub in the Tarzan, Texas area to customer locations. The role reports directly to the Operations Manager and involves local driving, including travel to off-road customer sites. Drivers are provided with new, well-maintained tractor trailers and can be home at the end of each shift.

The schedule follows a set rotation of either five shifts on and two days off or five shifts on and three days off. Night shifts are required, and travel to other hubs may be required. Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat (H) and Tank (N), or X endorsement.
• Have at least two years of verifiable Class A trucking experience; military experience may apply.
• Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR and PSP) with no suspensions.
• Be able to pass a thorough criminal background check, Fit-for-Duty assessment, and drug and alcohol screen.
• Be able to communicate in English.
• Be safety-minded, self-motivated, and a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Prior oilfield hauling experience is preferred.
• Two years of experience transporting hazardous materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport compressed natural gas from hub compression stations to customer sites.
• Safely operate a tractor and trailer to and from off-road customer locations.
• Remove and transport empty CNG trailers from customer sites to hub locations.
• Connect and disconnect hoses to and from compression stations and pressure reduction systems.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks of operating vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
