About The Position
Maverik is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL driver to transport fuel to its stores and communities across the West. The position is based in Evanston, Wyoming, and offers year-round work with drivers home daily. This is a long-term PM-shift role, with scheduled start times between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM and an advertised shift of 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The rotating schedule is five days on and two days off, followed by five days on and three days off. Shifts average 10–12 hours, with occasional longer days due to weather, traffic, or operational needs. Training may last up to 30 days and is typically conducted on the day shift; after training, the driver transitions to the PM shift. The job involves operating modern, well-maintained manual trucks in a year-round, 24/7 operation, including weekend, holiday, and all-weather driving. Drivers may need to chain tires in winter conditions. The position requires understanding of Samsara and slip/shared truck seating. Pay is listed as $100,000–$120,000 annually. Maverik also advertises a quarterly safety bonus of up to $8,000 annually and additional earnings through its profit-sharing program. Benefits eligibility includes medical, dental, vision, and hearing benefits on the first day of the month following the first 30 days of employment. Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
- At least 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
- Recent experience operating a manual transmission.
- At least 21 years old.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and road test in a 13–18-speed manual transmission truck.
- Understanding of Samsara and slip/shared truck seating.
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Ability to repeatedly stand, walk, handle, reach horizontally, and grasp firmly during a shift.
- Ability to frequently reach above the shoulder and below the waist, push buttons, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and push during a shift.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry 75–100 pounds.
- Close, distance, and color vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
