CDL Fuel Driver/Sidney
About The Position
Maverik is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL driver to transport fuel to its locations across the West from Sidney, Nebraska. The role offers year-round work and drivers are home daily. It is a long-term PM-shift position, with a rotating schedule of five days on and two days off, followed by five days on and three days off. Shift start times range from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM; the listed shift is 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM. Shifts average 10–12 hours and may occasionally be longer due to weather, traffic, or operational needs. Training may last up to 30 days and is typically conducted on the day shift. After successfully completing training, the driver transitions to the PM shift. The position operates year-round in a 24/7 environment and includes weekend, holiday, and all-weather driving, including winter conditions and chaining when necessary. Drivers operate modern, well-maintained manual trucks and use Samsara in a slip/shared-truck seating arrangement. The advertised annual pay is $100,000–$120,000. Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
- At least 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
- Recent experience operating a manual transmission.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, background check, and road test in a 13–18 speed manual transmission truck.
- Understanding of Samsara and slip/shared-truck seating.
- Ability to work the long-term PM shift and rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays, and all-weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for long periods; repeatedly stand, walk, handle, reach horizontally, and grasp firmly; frequently reach above the shoulder and below the waist, push buttons, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and push; occasionally lift and carry 75–100 lbs.; meet close, distance, color, and depth-perception vision requirements; and work outdoors in all types of weather.
