About The Position

This fleet hires drivers from the Mobile area and offers newly licensed Class A CDL drivers paid, over-the-road training with an experienced trainer. Training lasts 4 to 6 weeks and pays $650 per week. After training, drivers receive full solo pay and a guaranteed minimum of $1,000 per week for their first three months solo. Solo drivers average $1,200 to $1,800 in weekly gross pay and drive approximately 1,800 to 2,900 miles per week. Pay also includes $15 stop pay, $75 plus miles on short hauls, and a performance bonus. Routes operate east of Denver, excluding the Northeast, and include a mix of customers and freight types. Drivers are home every two weeks. Holiday work is voluntary, and some cold-weather driving in northern areas may occur during winter. Benefits begin after 30 days. Riders and pets are allowed after training.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a valid Class A CDL.
Have completed at least 120 hours at an accredited CDL school; no driving experience is needed for new graduates.
For experienced applicants: have 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, or 12 or more months in the past 5 years.
Have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
Have no major preventable accidents in the past 5 years.
Have no DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
Pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

Drive over-the-road routes across areas east of Denver, excluding the Northeast.
Complete 4 to 6 weeks of paid training with an experienced driver.
Drive solo after completing training and meet applicable route and mileage expectations.
Transport a mix of customers' freight types.
Perform some cold-weather driving in northern areas during winter, as needed.
