About The Position

Responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading ready mix concrete from the batch plant to customer job sites while following established safety, service, and quality policies and procedures. This is a local driver role with daily home returns.

The driver operates a mixer truck, checks that concrete meets customer specifications, completes work tickets, follows dispatch or plant manager instructions, verifies directions to customer locations, and attaches extension chutes as needed for unloading.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a current, valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean MVR.
• Have knowledge and experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and paper logs.
• Lift and carry up to 100 pounds from floor to waist or shoulder level occasionally.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Climb in and out of equipment 50 or more times per day and climb up and down ladders occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete safely at customer job sites.
• Check the load to ensure the concrete product is consistent with customer specifications, including slump and admixtures.
• Complete work tickets legibly and on time, provide a full description of activity, and obtain the customer’s signature when needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions from dispatch or the plant manager to ensure concrete loaded into the mixer drum meets customer specifications and to verify directions to customer locations.
• Attach extension chutes as needed to ensure efficient unloading.
