CDL Driver - Waste Collection (CDL Class A/B)

About The Position

Capital Waste Services is hiring a full-time CDL Driver to collect and transport waste materials in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, and Florida. The driver operates waste-collection trucks and is expected to follow safety regulations, maintain vehicles and records, and provide customer service. Pay is based on experience. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.

Requirements

Hold a valid Class A or B CDL and have held it for at least two years.
Have two years of satisfactory driving experience in Class A or B vehicles.
Maintain a safe, satisfactory driving record, verified through the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Be current with and comply with all D.O.T. requirements.
Pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.

Nice To Haves

Prior waste-industry driving experience.
Experience with Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, or Automated Side-Load (ASL) trucks.
High school diploma or GED.
Medical card.

Responsibilities

Operate Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, or Automated Side-Load (ASL) trucks to collect and transport waste materials.
Safely load and unload materials while following safety regulations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform minor mechanical maintenance as needed.
Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with the public.
