About The Position

Capital Waste Services (CWS) is hiring a full-time CDL Driver to collect and transport waste materials throughout its service areas. Drivers operate front-end load, roll-off, rear-load, or automated side-load (ASL) trucks, follow safety regulations, inspect vehicles, and perform minor mechanical maintenance as needed. The role includes maintaining delivery records, communicating with team members and supervisors, and providing customer service to the public. Pay is based on experience. The posting describes full-time pay and benefits and lists a Monday-to-Friday schedule, with weekends as needed.

Requirements

Possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); the license must have been held for at least two years.
Have two years of satisfactory driving experience in Class A or B vehicles.
Maintain a satisfactory driving record/MVR; the record will be verified through the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
Meet all current and applicable DOT requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of driving experience in the garbage truck industry, including rear-load, ASL, roll-off, or front-end-load vehicles.
Previous experience with front-end-load, roll-off, rear-load, or automated side-load (ASL) vehicles.
Prior waste industry driving experience.
High school diploma or GED (desired).
Medical card (preferred).

Responsibilities

Operate front-end load, roll-off, rear-load, or automated side-load (ASL) trucks to collect and transport waste materials.
Safely load and unload materials while adhering to safety regulations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform minor mechanical maintenance as needed.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with the public.
