About The Position

Capital Waste Services is hiring a full-time CDL Driver to collect and transport waste throughout its waste management operations. The role operates Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, or Automated Side-Load (ASL) trucks and requires safe handling of materials, compliance with safety regulations, and routine vehicle inspections. Drivers may perform minor mechanical maintenance, maintain accurate delivery records, communicate with team members and supervisors, and provide excellent customer service during interactions with the public. Pay is based on experience. The position offers full-time pay and benefits, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and weekends as needed.

Requirements

Possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License; the license must have been held for at least two years.
Have two years of satisfactory driving experience operating Class A or B vehicles.
Maintain a satisfactory driving record/Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
Be dependable, reliable, and trustworthy.

Nice To Haves

Prior waste-industry driving experience.
Experience with Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, or Automated Side-Load (ASL) vehicles.
A high school diploma or GED is desired.
A medical card is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely load and unload materials while adhering to safety regulations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform minor mechanical maintenance as needed.
