About The Position

Ferguson is hiring a Class A or B CDL Driver to deliver materials to customers, pick up customer returns, and support warehouse operations as needed. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime as needed, and is described as a daily-home driving role with no nights or weekends. A $500 sign-on bonus is payable after 90 days of employment. The role requires compliance with Department of Transportation standards, company safety procedures, and applicable CDL driver requirements. Pre-employment drug and background screening are required.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have an Air Brake Endorsement.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements and follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
• Be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds.
• Complete pre-employment drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

• Background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, and delivery.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers; use a pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload materials, and ensure delivery tickets accompany the materials.
• Pick up customer returns and validate that returned products match credit requests.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report problems or issues to a supervisor.
• Follow and implement company safety policies and procedures and adhere to safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, and with receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
• Work overtime as needed.
