About The Position

Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking a part-time, on-call Driver to support its Charlottesville, Virginia operation. The Driver transports fire apparatus and ambulances that first responders rely on. This flexible position is based on business needs and has no set or guaranteed schedule; flexible availability is required. Work includes driving emergency vehicles between locations and traveling throughout the regional service area.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Safe driving record and strong attention to safety.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis with flexible availability.
• Ability to operate large emergency vehicles safely and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Transport fire apparatus and ambulances safely between service centers, customer locations, and delivery points.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe for operation.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Communicate with management regarding schedules and delivery status.
• Ensure vehicles are delivered in clean, safe, and operational condition.
