About The Position

Atlantic Emergency Solutions is seeking a part-time, on-call Driver to support its Shelbyville Service Center. The role transports fire apparatus and ambulances used by first responders. It is a flexible position based on business needs, with no set or guaranteed schedule and flexible availability required. Drivers travel throughout the regional service area, moving vehicles between service centers, customer locations, and delivery points.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Safe driving record and strong attention to safety.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis with flexible availability.
• Ability to operate large emergency vehicles safely and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Transport fire apparatus and ambulances safely between service centers, customer locations, and delivery points.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe for operation.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Communicate with management regarding schedules and delivery status.
• Ensure vehicles are delivered in clean, safe, and operational condition.
