About The Position

Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company is hiring a full-time CDL Driver to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware, and other supplies to customers’ homes, construction sites, and places of business. The role is based at MCL Broken Arrow Lumber in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and pays $23.00–$26.00 per hour. The position is first shift and combines delivery driving with assistance in yard and warehouse operations when not driving. Drivers verify orders, maintain delivery records and paperwork, assist customers, and follow company procedures and applicable safety rules. The role requires a Class A CDL, safe operation of commercial motor vehicles, company training and equipment certifications, and the ability to meet applicable driver eligibility and physical qualification requirements. The work includes indoor and outdoor environments, varying noise levels, and seasonal temperature extremes. Employees may occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 100 pounds. Requirements

Class A CDL required.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write simple correspondence.
Ability to present information effectively to customers, clients, and other employees.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using all units of measure.
Ability to use common-sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must meet the Company’s driver eligibility guidelines.
Must successfully complete company training and equipment-use certification requirements, including forklift certification.
Must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway signs and signals, and respond to official inquiries.
Must safely operate the type of commercial motor vehicle driven.
Must be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSR requirements.
Able to occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 100 pounds.
Able to perform duties that may involve standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; must hear well enough to communicate with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Drive a company vehicle to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware, and other supplies to customers’ homes, construction sites, or businesses.
Verify order details and obtain customer signatures.
Record pertinent delivery information for accurate tracking.
Collect and organize paperwork for delivery and transfer activity.
Treat customers courteously and respectfully, listen to complaints, and assist in resolving them; report customer complaints or requests promptly.
Collect or pick up empty containers and rejected merchandise from delivery sites as directed.
Load the vehicle safely and accurately.
Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of delivery vehicles.
Perform routine vehicle safety checks.
Assist yard and warehouse staff with stocking, loading, and organizing materials.
When not driving, assist customers with loading materials and answer product questions.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and company safety standards, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
Attend store meetings and training sessions.
