About The Position

The CDL Driver II transports hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and client sites. The role involves operating a variety of manual- and automatic-transmission equipment, including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds. Drivers transport materials safely in accordance with established procedures and DOT regulations, operate specialized pump equipment, and complete vehicle and equipment inspections. The position may involve regional routes or daily returns home.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commercial vehicle travel and federal regulations.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement required.
• At least 3 years of commercial Class A driving experience, including tanker experience.
• Acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials over long distances, following safety procedures and DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments.
• Operate specialized vehicle pump equipment to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Complete transportation and vehicle/equipment maintenance paperwork, including manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, and incident reports.
• Ensure vehicle placarding complies with DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers about instructions, delivery status, and potential delays.
• Help ensure the safety of fellow employees, clients, and the public while operating company vehicles or performing company activities.
• Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Complete additional assigned duties.
