About The Position

AKHIRE is recruiting a full-time CDL Class A Driver with a Hazmat endorsement for a position in Anchorage, Alaska. The role pays $30–$35 per hour plus mileage incentives. The driver will operate tanker equipment and transport liquid or bulk materials to commercial, industrial, and other designated customer locations. Experience hauling fuel, petroleum, chemicals, or other tanker commodities is highly valued. The position requires safely operating in Alaska weather, complying with DOT regulations, completing freight and transportation paperwork, and inspecting and maintaining vehicles.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous hands-on tanker experience.
• Hazmat endorsement and other endorsements as required.
• Drug screening and background check required.

• Experience hauling fuel, petroleum, chemicals, or other tanker commodities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products on assigned routes.
• Load and unload products.
• Transport and deliver products to commercial, industrial, and other designated customer locations.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations for transporting goods and hazardous materials.
• Process freight paperwork, including delivery records, inspection reports, and required transportation documentation.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles, including checking gas, oil, coolant, tires, lights, and brakes.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance, emergency repairs, and vehicle cleaning.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment or safety concerns.
• Drive safely in Alaska weather.
