About The Position
AKHIRE is recruiting a full-time CDL Class A Driver with a Hazmat endorsement for a position in Anchorage, Alaska. The role requires hands-on tanker hauling experience, including operating tanker equipment and transporting liquid or bulk materials. Experience hauling fuel, petroleum, chemicals, or other tanker commodities is highly valued. The position pays $30–$35 per hour plus mileage incentives.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Previous hands-on tanker experience.
- Drug screening and background check required.
- Hazmat endorsement; other endorsements as required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience hauling fuel, petroleum, chemicals, or other tanker commodities is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products on assigned routes.
- Load and unload products.
- Transport and deliver products to commercial, industrial, and other designated customer locations.
- Drive to various delivery locations, including commercial and industrial sites.
- Follow safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations governing the transportation of goods and hazardous materials.
- Process freight paperwork, including delivery records, inspection reports, and required transportation documentation.
- Inspect and maintain vehicles, including checking gas, oil, coolant, tires, lights, and brakes; perform minor maintenance, emergency repairs, and cleaning.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment or safety concerns.
- Drive safely in Alaska weather conditions.
