About The Position

This delivery role involves safely operating a 26-foot straight truck to deliver and unload a variety of dairy products to customers. Drivers complete assigned routes throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, typically making 20 to 25 stops. The role requires flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, with varying early morning start times. The driver must be willing to commute to the Newark, NJ location for training.

The position pays $28.50 per hour and offers eligibility for a sign-up bonus of up to $7,000 and a weekly performance bonus of up to $240. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a retirement plan; life insurance; and paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

Requirements

• At least six months of commercial truck-driving experience within the past three years.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating commercial trucks.
• Possess and be able to present a valid, non-expired interstate DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Ability to complete the company's pre-employment process, which may include an in-person interview, skills assessments, drug testing, employment verification, and background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull 150 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, with varying early morning start times.
• Willingness to commute to the Newark, NJ location for training.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company straight truck along assigned delivery routes throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
• Complete 20 to 25 stops on a route.
• Deliver products according to assigned route schedules and delivery time windows.
• Unload merchandise using hand trucks.
• Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and company safety procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs during deliveries.
• Lift, push, pull, or move products weighing approximately 60 to 80 pounds.
