About The Position
TOMRA is hiring a CDL-B Route Driver in Bronx, New York. The driver delivers and picks up goods, handles related documentation, loads and unloads cargo, and communicates with dispatch about instructions or schedule changes. The role involves maintaining customer relations while on route and using a handheld device to track inventory and client relations. The listed shift is 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Starting pay is $24 per hour, plus overtime.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of CDL B driving experience.
- A satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
- Knowledge of handheld devices such as smartphones, or the ability to learn to use them.
- Experience in client relations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for deliveries or pickups to ensure timely service.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo.
- Maintain contact with dispatch to receive delivery or pickup instructions and notice of schedule changes.
- Maintain customer relations while on route.
- Lift 25–50 pounds while loading and unloading trucks.
- Use a handheld device to track inventory and client relations.
