About The Position
TOMRA is seeking a CDL-B Route Driver in Bronx, New York. The role involves delivering and picking up goods, preparing and handling related documentation, loading and unloading cargo, communicating with dispatch, and maintaining customer relations while on route. Drivers use a handheld device to track inventory and client relations. The position requires lifting 25–50 pounds while loading and unloading trucks. The scheduled shift is 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Requirements
- At least 1 year of CDL B driving experience.
- A satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
- Knowledge of handheld devices such as smartphones, or ability to learn to use them.
- Experience in client relations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for deliveries and pickups to ensure timely service.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo.
- Maintain contact with the dispatcher for delivery and pickup instructions and schedule changes.
- Maintain customer relations while on route.
- Use a handheld device to track inventory and client relations.
- Lift 25–50 pounds while loading and unloading trucks.
