About The Position

As a CDL Automated Side Loader Driver at Coastal Waste & Recycling, you will safely operate an Automated Side Loader while servicing customers along assigned routes. You will collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials according to operational procedures, while providing outstanding customer service and representing the company professionally. Drivers may serve residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers. After completing your route, you may help teammates finish their routes or assist with other operational needs as directed by management. The role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and associated equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely climb, bend, squat, kneel, and enter or exit equipment throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Side Loader on assigned routes.
• Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers based on assigned routes.
• Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials in accordance with operational procedures.
• Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Promptly report mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or route delays.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
• Use onboard technology and electronic devices to complete route documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.
• Help teammates finish their routes or assist with other operational needs as directed by management.
• Follow DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Coastal Waste & Recycling professionally.
