CDL-A Truck Driver Linehaul
About The Position
R+L Carriers is hiring Class A Linehaul Drivers at its San Jose, California Service Center. Drivers pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations and return home daily. The position pays $39.32 per hour. Paid time off is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment. R+L Carriers is a family-owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965. Requirements
- CDL Class A.
- One year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past three years.
- Good driving record/MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than three moving violations total within the past three years.
- Be at least 23 years old, or 21 if successfully meeting FMCSA specifications to transition from military to civilian CDL.
- Pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
- Complete a successful road test.
- Be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Be dependable.
Nice To Haves
- Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements.
- Experience hauling Haz-mat.
- Experience pulling doubles.
- Any LTL freight experience.
Responsibilities
- Pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations.
- Operate equipment safely at all times.
- Return home daily.
