About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring Class A Linehaul Drivers at its San Jose, California Service Center. Drivers pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations and return home daily. The position pays $39.32 per hour. Paid time off is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment. Candidates must be able to operate equipment safely, pass a road test and pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen, and bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.

Requirements

• CDL Class A.
• At least 1 year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record/MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• At least 23 years old, or 21 if FMCSA specifications for transitioning from military to civilian CDL are successfully met.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Ability to complete a successful road test.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependability.

Nice To Haves

• Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements.
• Experience hauling hazardous materials.
• Experience pulling doubles.
• LTL freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations.

• Complete assigned linehaul driving and return home daily.
