About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring Class A Linehaul Drivers at its Elgin, Illinois Service Center. Drivers pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations and return home daily. The listed pay rate is $0.78 per mile. Paid time off is available after the first 90 calendar days of employment. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and access to the company’s employee resorts.

Requirements

• CDL Class A license.
• At least one year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past three years.
• Good driving record/MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than three moving violations total within the past three years.
• At least 23 years of age, or 21 if the FMCSA specifications for transition from military to civilian CDL have been met.
• Pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Successfully complete a road test.
• Able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable.

Nice To Haves

• Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements.
• Experience hauling hazardous materials.
• Experience pulling doubles.
• LTL freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations.
• Operate equipment safely at all times.
• Complete assigned linehaul driving routes and return home daily.
