About The Position

R+L Carriers is hiring Class A Linehaul Drivers at its Elgin, Illinois Service Center. Drivers pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations, and return home daily. The advertised rate is $0.78 per mile (CPM).

Requirements

• CDL Class A.
• At least 1 year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record/MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 total moving violations within the past 3 years.
• At least 23 years old, or 21 if FMCSA specifications for transitioning from military to civilian CDL have been successfully met.
• Able to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
• Able to complete a successful road test.
• Able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable.

Nice To Haves

• Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements.
• Experience hauling Haz-mat.
• Experience pulling doubles.
• LTL freight experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations.
• Operate equipment safely at all times.
