About The Position
R+L Carriers is hiring Class A team drivers at its Boise, Idaho Service Center. Drivers transport freight between service centers and/or turn-point locations using van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers. Teams are on the road for five days and home for two days each week. The advertised annual earnings are $120,000–$130,000 per driver. R+L Carriers is a family-owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965. It serves the transportation and distribution industry, emphasizing efficient administration, innovative thinking, and respectful, honest service to employees and customers.
Requirements
- CDL Class A.
- At least one year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past three years.
- Good driving record/MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than three total moving violations within the past three years.
- At least 23 years old, or 21 if the applicant successfully meets FMCSA specifications to transition from military to civilian CDL.
- Pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
- Complete a successful road test.
- Be able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Be dependable.
Nice To Haves
- Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements.
- Experience hauling hazardous materials.
- Experience pulling doubles.
- LTL freight experience.
Responsibilities
- Pull van trailers up to 53 feet or double trailers between service centers and/or turn-point locations.
- Operate equipment safely at all times.
