About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL team truck driver in Corbin, Kentucky. Drivers deliver no-touch auto-parts freight across Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, and Texas, and are home every weekend. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, with a start time that varies by route. Drivers use a sleeper tractor with an automatic transmission and a 53-foot dry van. Strong backing skills are required. Ryder provides training on the equipment needed for the role and operates well-maintained trucks that are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Drivers earn a weekly guarantee of $1,715, with team mileage pay of $0.335 per mile for 4,200 or more miles per week, team stop pay of $7 per stop, and $6 per drop and hook. A $2,000 shutdown bonus is paid within the first year. Training is paid, and drivers are paid weekly. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Have strong backing skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Load or unload freight, or assist with loading or unloading if required by the customer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
