CDL-A Trainee - No Experience Required

About The Position

We are hiring CDL-A drivers in the LaPlace, LA area for OTR routes with a personally assigned truck and 100% no-touch dry van freight. New CDL-A holders and experienced drivers are both welcome to apply. For new CDL-A holders, there is a guaranteed weekly pay during a 3 to 5 week mentorship program (about 200 to 250 hours hands-on). This includes $300 orientation pay, plus transportation to orientation covered. Experienced drivers move straight into solo operations if requirements are met. The trucks are 2024 and newer Kenworth T680 or Freightliner Cascadia with automatic transmission, assigned to the driver only, and can be taken home during scheduled days off. The freight is 100% no-touch, dry van freight only. Home time is 14 days out with 2 full days home.

Requirements

  • 21 years or older
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • Solid driving record and work history
  • Pass DOT drug test and background check
  • Meet all applicable DOT and company requirements
  • For new CDL-A holders: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
  • For experienced drivers: at least 6 months verifiable solo driving time (mentor/trainer time doesn't count)

Responsibilities

  • Drive a commercial truck on OTR routes.
  • Operate a personally assigned truck.
  • Handle 100% no-touch dry van freight.
  • Participate in a mentorship program (for new CDL-A holders).
  • Adhere to all DOT and company requirements.
