This East Coast dry van fleet offers an entry-level opportunity for new CDL-A drivers, including people who have recently completed CDL school and former Marines. No driving experience is needed for trainees; military experience may count with a DD214. Trainees receive 4 to 6 weeks of paid training hauling real freight with a mentor, earning $850 per week. After training, drivers are guaranteed $1,000 per week for their first three months solo. Starting mileage pay is $0.55 per mile, increasing by one cent each year; average weekly pay is $1,200 to $1,700, with $15 stop pay. Drivers operate in Eastern planning zones and rarely travel west of the Mississippi, covering 1,900 to 2,300 miles per week. They are home every two weeks. Medical, dental, and vision coverage begins after 30 days. The position also offers a 401(k), a stock purchase program, and a free online degree for the driver and one dependent. Pets and riders are allowed after training. Orientation pays $300, and lodging is covered.
