CDL-A Trainee Driver - Dry Van - Paid Mentor Training
About The Position
This CDL-A trainee driver position hauls dry van freight along the East Coast, with a home terminal in Ocala. Drivers train with an experienced mentor for 4 to 6 weeks and receive $650 per week during training, plus $300 in orientation pay and lodging during orientation. After solo dispatch, drivers receive a guaranteed $1,000 per week for 3 months. Starting mileage pay is $0.55 per mile, increasing by one cent for each year of experience. Average weekly pay is $1,200 to $1,400, with $15 stop pay and a performance bonus. Once running solo, drivers cover about 2,500 miles per week and are home every two weeks.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 21 years old.
- At least 120 hours of CDL school.
- New CDL graduates are welcome.
- For experienced drivers: 6 months of OTR experience in the past 12 months or 12 months in the past 5 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
- No serious violations in the past 12 months.
- No major preventable accidents in the past 5 years.
- No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years.
- Hair and urine drug testing.
- 3 years of verifiable work history.
