CDL-A Truck Driver - Paid Mentor Training - Dry Van

About The Position

Drive an East Coast dry van fleet operating along the Eastern Seaboard. New drivers receive 4 to 6 weeks of paid mentor training, with lodging covered during orientation. Training pay is $650 per week, plus $300 in orientation pay. Solo drivers are guaranteed $1,000 per week for three months. Starting mileage pay is $0.55 per mile, increasing by one cent per year up to $0.65 per mile; average weekly pay is $1,200 to $1,400. Drivers also earn $15 per stop. The fleet runs about 2,500 miles per week and uses both drop-and-hook and live-load operations. Drivers are home every two weeks.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Have completed at least 120 hours of CDL school.
• Experienced drivers must have 6 months of experience in the last 12 months or 12 months in the last 5 years.
• Military experience may be considered with a DD214.
• Have no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no serious violations in the last 12 months.
• Have no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years.
• Have no DUI/DWI within the past 5 to 10 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug tests.
• Provide 3 years of verifiable work history.

Responsibilities

• Drive a dry van truck on routes along the Eastern Seaboard.
• Complete drop-and-hook and live-load freight operations.
• Travel approximately 2,500 miles per week.
