CDL-A Trainee
About The Position
We are hiring CDL-A drivers in the Carencro, LA area for OTR positions with a personally assigned truck and 100% no-touch dry van freight. New CDL-A holders and experienced drivers are both welcome to apply. This role offers weekly pay during training, a dedicated truck once solo, and freight that requires no touching. The pay structure is based on CPM, miles driven, and performance, with weekly direct deposit. The schedule involves being out for 14 days with 2 full days at home. For new CDL-A holders, there is a 3 to 5 week mentorship program with guaranteed weekly pay, including $300 orientation pay and covered transportation to orientation. Experienced drivers can move directly into solo operations if they meet the requirements. The trucks are 2024 or newer Kenworth T680 or Freightliner Cascadia models with automatic transmissions, assigned exclusively to the driver, and can be taken home during scheduled days off. The freight is exclusively 100% no-touch dry van.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- 21 years or older
- 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school (for new holders)
- At least 6 months verifiable solo driving time (for experienced drivers; mentor/trainer time doesn't count)
- Meet all applicable DOT and company requirements
Responsibilities
