CDL-A Reefer Driver – 4 AM–6 AM Starts + Paid Layovers

About The Position

Drive a dedicated grocery freight account from Troutdale, Oregon, delivering to stores and warehouses throughout Oregon and Northern California. Drivers haul preloaded refrigerated trailers with approximately 2–4 stops per load and unload freight using an electric pallet jack and/or liftgate. The route covers approximately 1,700 miles per week and averages 2–3 layovers per week. Drivers may also assist other local accounts 1–3 times per week; outsourced work is paid at a daily rate. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with start times between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM and workdays averaging approximately 12 hours. Drivers are assigned automatic sleeper trucks, which must remain at the account during time off. Online orientation is available. Average annual pay is $95,000, average weekly pay is approximately $1,850, and mileage pay is $0.48–$0.58 per mile, with yearly increases of $0.01 until the maximum rate is reached. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
Clean driving record.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Must not be an SAP driver.
Must be willing and able to chain when weather requires.
Comfort driving in winter weather and snow.
Able to unload freight using an electric pallet jack and/or liftgate.
Must be flexible and willing to assist other local accounts as needed.

Responsibilities
