About The Position

This position is for CDL-A school graduates who have their CDL but lack driving experience. It offers a career-building opportunity on a western regional fleet with short runs, typically no more than 2 days from home. New CDL holders will receive on-the-road training. The job involves dry van freight across the 11 western states, with an average of 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week. Drivers can expect to be home every 2 weeks, with the option to run beyond the western states for more miles. The pay structure includes a guaranteed weekly pay during training, a guaranteed weekly pay for the first 3 months of solo driving, and average weekly earnings of $1,000 to $1,300. There is also a standard mileage pay scale that increases with experience, up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus, and $15 stop pay.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• 21 or older
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school (for new drivers)

Nice To Haves

• 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years (for experienced drivers)

Responsibilities

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off
• Drive dry van freight across the 11 western states
• Operate truck for 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week
• Run past the western states if you want more miles
