CDL-A Route Delivery Driver - Kansas City
About The Position
Clarks White Glove Delivery is hiring a local CDL Class A driver for a dedicated appliance account in Kansas City. The driver operates a company day cab and 53-foot dry van, picking up full trailers at the Kansas City warehouse and delivering appliances to retail stores around the metro area. The route serves the same stores each day, and the driver is home every night. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position, not a no-touch or drop-and-hook role. The driver unloads the trailer at each store, handling washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, and other large appliances. The work involves being on your feet, pulling heavy pallet jacks, and lifting and maneuvering heavy freight throughout the day in all weather conditions. The position pays $30 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours. The schedule is Monday through Friday, full time, with approximately 10-hour days. Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A.
- At least 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean driving record, with no major violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy appliances.
- Comfort with hands-on, physically demanding work, including unloading freight in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Pick up loaded 53-foot trailers at the Kansas City warehouse.
- Make multiple retail store deliveries per day.
- Unload appliances at each stop using a pallet jack or by hand.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Keep accurate ELD logs.
- Represent Clarks professionally with retail partners.
