About The Position

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a Class A driver with a customer-service focus and a safety-first mindset. The Route Delivery Driver operates a company motor vehicle to transfer freight safely and efficiently between specified locations within assigned timeframes. The role unloads, sorts, palletizes, and reloads a wide variety of freight, manually or with mechanical assistance, and completes paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures. The position is based in Dickinson, North Dakota, and offers local routes with drivers home daily. The Monday–Friday shift starts between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Pay is $35.00 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI or DWI convictions in the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain them.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.
• Ability to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to safely maneuver freight or pallets weighing up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart, using up to 130 pounds of force with mechanical aid.
• Ability to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet.
• Ability to hook and unhook commercial combinations; manually lower and raise landing gear; operate fifth-wheel release levers; lock and release pintle hooks; attach and release safety chains; open and close cargo doors; climb into and out of vehicles; and fuel vehicles and check oil and coolant levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver and/or pick up freight at customer locations and/or a terminal as directed by dispatch or the immediate supervisor.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipments to their delivery points.
• Load and/or unload freight onto and off a company motor vehicle at customer locations and the terminal, with or without mechanical assistance depending on freight size.
• Unload, sort, palletize, and reload freight, manually or with the aid of mechanical devices.
• Complete paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures and policies.
