About The Position

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is hiring a Class A driver for a local route delivery position. The driver operates a company motor vehicle to transport freight safely and efficiently between specified locations within required timeframes. The role includes unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading freight manually or with mechanical assistance, and completing paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures. The position is based in Rapid City, South Dakota, works Monday through Friday with a 6:00 a.m. start time, and offers local routes with the driver home daily.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Have no DUI or DWI convictions in the past 3 years.
• Have no more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• Have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver and/or pick up freight at customer locations and/or a terminal as directed by dispatch or the immediate supervisor.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipments to delivery points.
• Load and/or unload freight at customer locations and the terminal, with or without mechanical assistance.
• Sort and palletize freight.
• Complete paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures and policies.
