About The Position

The CDL-A Regional Hazmat Driver hauls palletized auto batteries on regional routes from Laredo, Texas, primarily to Phoenix, Arizona, and back. The operation also includes picking up returned battery cores. Drivers deliver freight using an electric pallet jack and operate late-model Freightliner tractors with liftgate trailers. Pay is $27.50 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours per week. The posting lists average weekly pay of $1,900+ and average annual pay of $100,000. Drivers have weekly home time. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
Must obtain a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
Must be at least 22 years old.
No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions.
No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile required before hire.
Must meet English-language requirements for communication, reading traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records.
Clean driving record.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
No SAP drivers.
Ability to safely operate liftgate equipment and electric pallet jacks.
