About The Position

Drive regional store-delivery routes for the Family Dollar account, serving Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Drivers average approximately 1,600 miles and three loads per week, with one to six stops per day. Freight is 100% touch freight and requires live unloading at store locations using rollers. Deliveries are scheduled for early mornings, and nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. The role offers weekly home time for a 34-hour reset. Drivers must have secure parking for both the truck and trailer on personal property or in a gated location with two forms of security, such as a guard or camera. Parking at stores or other unsecured locations during home time is not permitted. Ride-along training takes place after orientation and is paid at $150 per day. Equipment includes International, Freightliner, and Kenworth tractors.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
Clean driving record.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
No SAP drivers.
Ability to perform physically demanding live unloads.
Patience, professionalism, and strong customer service skills.
Bring two weeks’ worth of supplies to orientation.
Ability to meet the account’s secure truck and trailer parking requirements.

Responsibilities

Drive regional store-delivery routes across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
