About The Position
Capitol Distributing is hiring reliable Class A CDL Relief Drivers to support store deliveries across nine states. The role offers a consistent work schedule and a career path in a growing company. Drivers cover local, shuttle, team, and overnight assignments. About 20% of the work consists of local routes, while the majority involves regional and overnight driving, so flexibility is important. The schedule is four to five days per week, with 10–12-hour shifts that may be during the day, evening, or night.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Clean driving record, with three or fewer points in the last 12 months.
- Current DOT medical certificate.
- Doubles endorsement or ability to obtain it within 60 days.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in hot and cold environments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver groceries, beverages, and convenience items to stores across nine states.
- Drive trailers carrying frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods.
- Offload freight using a pallet jack, hand cart, and totes.
- Track inventory using scanners and follow delivery logs.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Occasionally assist with emergency coverage routes.
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.
