About The Position

South Jersey drivers are needed for Northeast regional freight. Drivers can expect to drive approximately 1,900 miles per week, which unlocks weekends off. The role involves drop and hook in most cases, avoids the NYC boroughs, and offers flexible home time. New CDL graduates will ride with a paid mentor for their initial training period.

Requirements

Class A CDL from your state of residence.
Must be 21 or older.
New CDL grad with 120+ school hours, or 6 months of recent experience.
No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years.
Must pass DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen.

Nice To Haves

New CDL grads ride with a paid mentor first.
Practice backing for weeks with a mentor beside you before driving alone.
Your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

Responsibilities

Drive regional lanes from Virginia up through the Northeast, staying out of New York City.
Perform mostly drop and hook, with some live loads and unloads.
Complete 34-hour resets or be home every two weeks for two full days.
Drive approximately 1,900 miles in a week to earn weekends off.
Practice backing, logs, fueling, and trip planning with a mentor for 4 to 6 weeks.
Operate an assigned truck, averaging about 1.5 years old.
