About The Position
Drive a dedicated regional dry van account for Family Dollar, delivering freight primarily in Texas (approximately 75%), with remaining routes to Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Drivers typically cover approximately 1,600 miles per week and handle 2–3 loads per week, with approximately 2–6 stops per load. This active driving role includes unloading trailers using rollers. Drivers use automatic sleeper trucks pulling 53-foot dry van trailers. The position offers weekly home time with a 34-hour reset and mileage pay plus load pay. Average weekly pay is $1,900, with top weekly earnings of $2,490. Average annualized pay is $98,124, with top annualized pay of $129,521.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Ability to safely unload freight using rollers and climb in and out of trailers as needed.
