About The Position

Universal Logistics is hiring dedicated regional CDL-A drivers to operate routes from Michigan to Kansas City, Missouri. Drivers are home during the week and on weekends, with consistent, year-round work. Average weekly earnings are up to $2,100, at $0.70 per mile. The fleet includes day cabs, sleepers, and 53-foot dry vans. Benefits are available after 90 days and include health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and paid holidays. Drivers may also receive stop-off and detention pay.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last year.
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Secure and handle freight as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Report mechanical or safety issues.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits.
