About The Position
Drive in a dedicated regional dry van operation based in Oklahoma, hauling freight for Family Dollar across Texas and surrounding states. The delivery territory is approximately 75% Texas, with additional routes in Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Drivers average approximately 1,600 miles and complete 2–3 loads per week, typically making 2–6 stops per load. Freight is unloaded using rollers. The equipment includes 53-foot dry van trailers and sleeper tractors with automatic transmissions. Average weekly pay is $1,900, with average annual pay of $98,124. Top weekly pay is $2,500, with top annualized pay of $129,521. Pay consists of mileage pay plus load pay. Drivers have weekly home time with a 34-hour rest period.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
- No SAP drivers.
- Ability to unload freight using rollers.
- Ability to operate a sleeper tractor safely on regional routes and handle multiple delivery stops.
