About The Position

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking local and regional linehaul drivers to safely transport freight between terminals or meet points. This is a home-daily position involving night linehaul driving and drop-and-hook work. Drivers are paid for mileage as well as each drop, hook, chain, fuel stop, and wait time. Experienced drivers can start at $0.80 per mile or $34.41 per hour. Drivers must meet reliability and safety standards, navigate challenging road and weather conditions, and be prepared to chain up as needed. Weekend work may be required.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent, consecutive, verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements required at the time of application.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Clean driving record, with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past three years.
• Strong communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Basic English proficiency for reading, writing, and verbal communication.

Nice To Haves

• No doubles experience is required; training is provided.

Responsibilities
