About The Position

The CDL-A Local Yard Driver role combines yard hostler work with local driving for Kohl's in Blue Springs, Missouri. The driver operates a spotter unit, and no unloading is required. The position is home nightly. Workload varies by season, with approximately two hostlers per shift during peak season and approximately one to 1.5 hostlers per shift during non-peak season. Drivers must be comfortable working in cold weather.

Two shifts are available: day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Hours may change based on customer demand and seasonal volume. During peak season from August through November, some shifts may run nine hours. Hours over 40 per week are paid at the regular hourly rate, not overtime. Weekend or holiday work is rare but may be required when the customer has freight. Pay is $28 per hour, with estimated weekly pay of $1,120 and estimated annual pay of $58,240 at 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• First-seat, experienced driver.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must not be a SAP driver.
• Ability to perform yard operations and local driving safely.
• Flexibility to work adjusted hours during peak and non-peak seasons.
• Comfort working in cold weather.
