About The Position

The CDL-A Local Reefer Driver hauls palletized frozen meat on a dedicated local route from a distribution center in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, to a drop yard in Commerce City, then delivers it to a customer’s freezer facility. The role is based on the Ft. Morgan/Commerce City route, with onboarding and training required in Denver, Colorado. Commerce City is a remote domicile with no management onsite. This hands-on delivery position involves physically unloading palletized meat at the customer site. Drivers use a dolly, electric pallet jack, and liftgate; freight boxes average 10–85 pounds, and drivers must be able to lift up to 85 pounds when needed. Drivers may also assist other dedicated accounts as required and interact frequently with customers. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with a 6:00 PM start time and an average shift of 10–12 hours. Drivers are home daily. The posting lists average annual pay of $80,000, average weekly pay of $1,550, mileage pay of $0.63–$0.67 CPM, and yearly $0.01 CPM increases until the rate reaches $0.67 CPM. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is advertised.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
Clean driving record.
Valid DOT Medical Card.
Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds when needed.
Must be comfortable with physical unloading and frequent customer interaction.
Must complete onboarding and training in Denver, Colorado.
Must be willing to assist other accounts as needed.
No SAP drivers.

Responsibilities

Haul palletized frozen meat in refrigerated trailers.
Transport freight from the distribution center in Ft. Morgan to the Commerce City drop yard.
Deliver and unload palletized meat into freezers at the customer site.
Use a dolly, electric pallet jack, and liftgate for unloading.
Provide customer service during frequent customer interactions.
Assist other dedicated accounts as required.
