About The Position

This is a local intermodal driver position out of Harrisburg, PA, offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus, with drivers averaging $1,769 per week. The work involves pulling containers in and out of two Harrisburg rail yards, with 2 to 5 loads per day. Drivers will be home every night, as runs stay within 250 miles of Harrisburg. The equipment consists of automatic and manual day cabs that average 2 years old, with on-site maintenance. This role does not involve driving into New York City. The schedule is a Weekend Wrap, typically Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday, with start times between 4 PM and 11 PM. Flexibility is required for start times, and better shifts become available based on tenure. Christmas is a guaranteed day off, though Thanksgiving and New Year's may be worked. The company offers priority rail access, reimbursement for hazmat endorsement costs, and paid training.

Requirements

Non-smokers only
At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
Able to drive both manual and automatic trucks (unless you hold an automatic restriction)
Hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
No careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years
No major preventable accidents in the last 3 years
No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
Must pass hair and urine drug testing
